🎉 Recap of 2025
Before proceeding to the recap of 2025, let me introduce CityBakery.
CityBakery is one of my favorite cafe chain and I like the newyork-vibe atmosphere there.
I've never been to NYC though😅.
Finally became a 社会人!(shakai-jin / working adult)
2025 has been a meaningful year for me in many ways.
Became a full time software engineer finally! 社会人 finally!
When I was a student, I couldn't imagine myself working as a 社会人 in a company.
Sometimes, I tend to think "Wow! I am really 社会人 now! Am I really OK with this?".
Appreciation for my workplace and colleagues, 同期(batch-mates)
Everyone at my company is kind and so incredibly talented. Everyday is so inspiring thanks to them.
Especially grateful to my batch-mates. I’m really happy to have people I can work hard with together.
New environment
I moved to Tokyo this year where I dreamed to live for a long time and met many new people.
Tokyo is full of energy and opportunities and I liked it. of course, there are some downsides.(I don't mention it here though)
Totally different from my hometown.
Walt Disney World trip
It was one of my dreams to visit Walt Disney World in Florida, USA.
There were so many rides that we don't have in Japan. They involves advanced technologies and I was impressed.
These are the rides I liked
- Expedition Everest
- I really liked the background story.
- The queue line's theme is a museum of the incident that happened to the mountain expedition team before.
- It implies that the Yeti exists and attacks the expedition team.
- The background story is well made and scares us so much. It was great work.
- Tron
- motor bike ride but like a roller coaster.
- So fun and thrilling!
- I forgot the exact speed it was but it felt really fast!
- It's 97 km/h
- Tower of Terror
- Much different from the one in TokyoDisneySea.
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
- Cutting edge technology used in this ride.
- Just amazing.
- The combination of multiple ride systems is incredible.
- It was so ヤバイ(yabai / amazing)!
- This may be the best ride I've ever experienced.
- Star Wars: smugglers run
- So fun!
- I piloted the Millennium Falcon!
- Avatar: Flight of Passage
- Breathtaking experience.
- It was like a massive version of Soaring in TokyoDisneySea.
Life Lately
Stopped taking caffeine while working and started taking decaf coffee instead
I've gotten sensitive to caffeine recently and my heartbeat feels faster after taking caffeine. (I had high tolerance to caffeine before...)
So, I decided to brew decaf coffee everyday at home and bring it to my workplace.
My favorite decaf coffee is from MUJI. Or... it's the only option for affordable decaf coffee in Japan as far as I know.
I know many coffee shops sell decaf coffee beans but they are expensive and sometimes takes time to get them due to the delivery.
For now, I think MUJI's decaf coffee is the best option for me.
If you know any other good decaf coffee beans available in Japan, please let me know! (I think most of the readers of my blog are from my company. So please let me know it in my Slack's times channel!)
New Item I want to buy:
Considering buying this tumbler for taking decaf coffee to my workplace. But I have many tumblers already... Why are tumblers so attractive...?

Working out
I've been going to the gym for a while recently but... I am planning to buy dumbells and do workouts at home.(Already bought a bench!)
People around me say that working out at home is also effective and fine. so, I am going to try it! (Thank you for the advice and dumbells recommendations!)
